In Albany, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in New York, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

Albany is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Albany follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Very disappointing. Ordered the 100 plant bundle. The packaging was horrible, all plants squished in a small box. The myriophyllum was a brown goopy mess. The red ludwigia was wasted (harvested and packed eons ago) The vallisneria were bunched so tight all roots were crushed. The large swords were beautiful but half the leaves were broken. When shipping live aquatic plants you need to put in a spacious bag with a little water and inflate with your breath to give CO2 and volume to protect the plants - even if it means using a larger box! At least 1/3 of the plants were not recoverable.

What I ordered and what I received were 2 different things. They decided to substitute my order because of"quality", without my permission. I ordered Java lace fern, they sent Java Fern. What they sent was full of holes. I also ordered red root floaters. Nothing red about them, and they were wilted and dried up. It took them 7 day to process my order and have it ready to pick up for delivery. It was delivered in 2 days. No source of moisture. The red root floaters roots were not even fully in the cup before they snapped the lid on.. First time ordering from this company and can't say that I will order from them again.

Simply put this is the best place to buy aquatic plants from. Besides low prices, fast shipping, the packaging is far better then other places I have purchased from. Each plant was labeled for type and quantity, this is something simple that every seller should do. They were all placed in a large insulated pouch with cold packs to maintain correct temp during shipping. But the best part is the quality of the plants. I've received plants that had turned to slime by the time I received them, all because the seller didn't care. They were all nice and green with healthy roots and the size was also larger then expected. I won't buy plants from anyone else. Place an order yourself and you'll be writing a review just like this one. God Bless Kevin L.
